Faculty Development Programs

“Transforming Educators, Transforming Futures!”

“Charting Paths to Professional Mastery” is the main target of our college, where we focus on the notion that Man is a perpetual Learner and can innovate, inspire and impact others with continuous progress.

Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) are organized at Shah Satnam Ji Girls’ College with the primary aim of enhancing teacher productivity and ensuring they stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in their respective fields.

Workshops and Seminars: These are the most common formats, where experts from academia and industry are invited to conduct sessions on specific topics. These might include pedagogical strategies, subject-specific advancements, or interdisciplinary approaches.

Hands-on Training: Many FDPs include practical training sessions where teachers can learn to use new software, lab equipment, or teaching aids. This practical approach ensures that teachers can effectively implement what they learn.

Collaborative Learning: FDPs often emphasize collaboration among faculty members. Group activities, discussions, and projects are incorporated to promote peer learning and exchange of ideas.

Guest Lectures: Inviting renowned academicians and professionals to deliver lectures on emerging topics helps teachers gain insights from experienced individuals.

Online Courses and Webinars: With the increasing emphasis on digital learning, many FDPs are now conducted online. This allows teachers to learn at their own pace and convenience, making it easier to balance professional development with their teaching responsibilities.
