In the arena of international sports, our athletes have consistently showcased exceptional talent, dedication, and perseverance. This year, we proudly honour the 51 outstanding individuals who have represented us on the global stage in various disciplines including Skating, Judo, Throwball, Handball, Taekwondo, Netball, Yoga, and Athletics.

Skating

Our skaters have glided with grace and power, mastering the ice and roller rinks. Their seamless performances and relentless practice have earned them accolades and respect worldwide. Each twist and turn on the rink is a testament to their hard work and passion.

Meera, Yashdeep, Pooja, Milan Preet, Gurpreet, Sonali and Sandeep won Gold Medal in 12th ‘Asian Championship’ held in Kolkata from 28th Nov to 2nd Dec 2007 in Skating.

In 2008, Pooja, Milan Preet, Gurpreet, Sonali, Ritu, Sandeep participated in ‘9th World Cup’ held in Japan in Nov, 2008.

Skating players Meera, Ritu, Yashdeep, Parveen, Milan Preet, and Pooja won silver medal in 14th ‘Asian Roller Skating Championship’ in Taiwan, China held in 2010.

Roller Hockey Skaters Milan Preet, Parveen, Sabdeep, Mandeep, Yashdeep, Navneet, Harpreet and Anika won Gold Medals in ‘World Asian Championship’ held in China from 28th October to 31st October, 2012. These skaters along with Ritu also participated in ‘World Cup’ held from 10th to 17th November, 2012 in Brazil.

Inline Skaters Sumitra and Karamjeet participated in ‘Asian Championship’ held from 23rd October to 27th October, 2012 in China.

Inline Skaters Harpreet, Sumitra, Kajal, Karamjeet participated in ‘World Cup InlineHockey’ held from 14th to 20th July, 2013 in California.

Skaters Gagandeep and Navjeet participated in ‘World cup’ held from 7th to 13th June, 2015 in Argentina.

Inline skaters Jashandeep, Harpreet, Sumitra, Kajal, Navjeet, and Gagandeep won Bronze medals in ‘16th Asian Championship’ held from 20th to 24th September, 2014.

Harpreet and Sumitra and Kajal also participated in Inline Skating in ‘World Championship’ held from 30th June-3rd July 2014.

Sabdeep, Ritu, Yashdeep, Milan Preet won Gold Medal in Quads Skating in ‘16th Asian Championship’ held from 24th to 28th September, 2014 in China.

Sabdeep, Ritu, Yashdeep, Parveen also participated in Quads Skating in ‘World Championship’ held from 30th June-3rd July 2014 in France.

Skaters Hemlata, Simranjeet Kaur, Ravneet, Sonam, Gurjot,Muskan,Sonia, Kajal, Gagandeep, Jashandeep, Sabdeep, and Navjeet participated in ‘World Cup’ in Nanjing, China in (2017-18).

Sonia, Anchal, Simranjeet, Gagandeep, and Sabdeep won Gold medals in ‘18th Asian Rolling Inline Skating Championshipheld in Korea in (2018-19).

Satveer participated in ‘World Roller Games’ in Spain in (2018-19).

Satveer, Silvneet Sidhu and Asmi participated in ‘19th Asian Championship’ held from 28th to 30th October, 2023 in Beidaiha, China.

Judo

In the realm of Judo, our athletes have displayed remarkable strength, technique, and strategic prowess. Their victories are a result of countless hours of training, intense mental focus, and an unwavering spirit of sportsmanship.

Our judo player Rekha and Naveen won gold medal in ‘10th Asian Junior and Youth Judo Championship’ at Beiruth in November, 2009.

Ritu and Rekha won silver medal in ‘Senior Asian Sambo Martial Art Championship’ in Uzbekistan in 2010.

Monika participated in Sambo in ‘I.H.F. South Asian Challenge Trophy Chamionship’ held from 12th to 18th December, 2012 in Nepal.

Judo player Mithlesh participated in ‘Asian championship’ held from 8th to 14th October, 2014 in Thailand.

Jyoti, Judo Player, participated in ‘Commonwealth’ games in Jaipur in (2018-19).

Throwball and Handball

The dynamism and teamwork demonstrated by our Throwball and Handball players have been truly inspiring. Their ability to synchronize, strategize, and execute plays with precision has led to significant achievements, highlighting the essence of unity and collaboration.

Our Throwball players Priyanka, Parwesh, Priyanka Kadiyan, Poonam Kalra won gold medals in ‘World Throwball Championship’ from 29th March to 4th April, 2010.

Gagandeep, throwball player, won 1 Gold medal in ‘5th Asian Throw Ball’ held from 19th to 21st June, 2014.

Gurmail, our handball player, participated in ‘Asian Handball Championship’ in China from 19th to 29th November, 2009.

Monika participated in Handball in ‘I.H.F.Challenge Trophy Central Asia’ held from 13th to 18th July, 2013.

Netball

On the netball court, our players have dazzled with their agility, sharp reflexes, and impeccable coordination. Their journey reflects a perfect blend of individual brilliance and collective effort, making every game a thrilling spectacle.

Santosh & Neha participated in ‘7th Asian Women Netball Championship’ held IN Malaysia in 2009.

Yoga

In Yoga, our practitioners have reached new heights of mental and physical harmony. Their ability to perform complex asanas with ease and grace is a reflection of their deep commitment to this ancient practice, bringing pride and honour to our nation.

International Yoga player Neelam won 1 Gold medal in Italy in September, 2009. She also participated in ‘2nd Asian Yoga Championship’ held from 30th June to 2nd July in Hyderabad. She won 1 Gold and 2 silver medals in ‘World Cup’ in 2012 held in Moscow and 2 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze medals in ‘25th World Cup Yoga’ held in Paris in 2013 and 1 Gold, 1 Bronze in ‘4th Asian Yoga Championship’ held from 14th to 16th November, 2014.

Yoga Player Karamdeep won 2 Gold, 1 Silver in ‘4th Asian Yoga Championship’ held from 14th to 16th November, 2014. She won 2 Gold,1Sliver and 3 Bronze medals and Neelam won 1Siver,3 Bronze medals in ‘24th Amature World Championship’ held from 18th to 20th December, 2015 in Malasia.

Karamdeep won 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 Bronze medals and Neelam won 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 Bronze medals in ‘5th Asian Yoga Championship’ held from 19th to 21st June, 2015 in Thailand.

Athletics

Our athletes have sprinted, jumped, and thrown their way to success, breaking personal and national records. Their exceptional performances on the track and field are the result of relentless training, exceptional talent, and an indomitable will to excel.

Gurpreet played in ‘Salwan International throwers’ in New Delhi from 29th to 30th September 2006 and won Bronze Medal. She participated in ‘SAF Games’ in Sri Lanka 2006. She also participated in ‘Asian Grand Prix’ in Pune in 2007 & in Guwahati in 2008 and in ‘South Asian Championship’ in Cochi and won Bronze Medal in 2008.

Each of these 51 international players has not only achieved remarkable success but also set new standards in their respective sports. They have become role models, inspiring the next generation of athletes to dream big and work hard. Their achievements are a source of immense pride for our community, showcasing the diverse talent and unyielding spirit that defines our sporting culture.
